What Clincy is

Clincy is an AI intake and reactivation coordinator for dental practices. It calls and texts patients on behalf of a practice, collects the information the front office would otherwise chase by phone (demographics, insurance carrier and subscriber details, health history, allergies, current medications, and scheduling preferences), and writes the structured result back into the practice management system before the appointment.

The product is deliberately narrow. It is not a general purpose receptionist, an answering service, or a marketing automation platform. It does one job: getting a patient record complete and a patient on the schedule without a staff member spending fifteen minutes on the phone.

Who builds it

Clincy is a product of Clinsight (https://clinsight.ai), a company building software for independent clinics. The founding team and engineers are listed on the team page, the companies we build alongside are on the partners page, and the funds backing the company are on the investors page. The company operates from California, United States.

Where the product stands today

The MVP is built around Open Dental first. Other practice management systems, including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental, Denticon, and CareStack, are on the roadmap rather than live. SMS delivery is designed around Twilio infrastructure, which means a practice going live needs a registered 10DLC brand and campaign before high volume texting is permitted.

Patient conversations run in English and Spanish. Additional languages are planned.

What we do not claim

We do not claim a HIPAA business associate agreement is in place for every deployment, and we do not claim the product is a substitute for clinical judgment. Any practice evaluating Clincy should review its own compliance obligations, run its own vendor assessment, and confirm what data leaves its systems. We would rather lose a deal than describe a control that does not exist yet.
